The rules and practical limits that apply when you use Metadata Remover
2026/10/02
These Terms of Use apply when you access or use Metadata Remover. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service.
The current public tool is provided without an account or payment. Images are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to us.
You may use Metadata Remover for lawful personal or business purposes. You are responsible for the files you choose and for having the rights or permission needed to process and share them.
You must not:
You keep all rights you already have in your images. Because processing takes place on your device, you do not grant us a license to store or use those files.
You are responsible for reviewing the cleaned result before publishing or relying on it. Keep an original copy if you may need the source metadata later.
Metadata Remover is designed to detect and remove supported EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC, PNG text, AI-generation fields, maker notes, and C2PA/JUMBF data. File formats and metadata structures vary, so a scan or verification result is not a guarantee that every possible hidden value has been removed.
The tool cannot remove information already copied elsewhere, visual details visible in image pixels, or every watermark or fingerprinting technique. Re-encoding can also change file size, compression, color handling, or visual quality.
The site's software, interface, branding, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you permission to use the public service; they do not transfer ownership of the service itself.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue part or all of the service. We may also update supported formats, limits, and these terms. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply to future use.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties that it will always be available, error-free, suitable for a particular purpose, or able to remove every form of metadata.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the service, including lost files, lost metadata, publication mistakes, or reliance on a scan result. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Questions about these terms can be sent through the support contact published with the live service.
